(The source of infection for index cases in both clusters remains unknown but genomic sequencing has confirmed they relate to the Delta variant)

CASES

* 20 new cases

– 10 linked to Caroline Springs Square shopping centre

– 3 linked to Newport Football Club

– 3 linked to Mt Alexander College

– 2 household contacts of original Newport family cluster

– 1 at Al-Taqwa College

– 1 workplace contact of a case who also works at a cafe at Caroline Springs Square

* 15 cases not isolating while infectious

* 5 cases were isolating while infectious

* 76 total cases in the latest outbreak

* Two people in hospital, none in intensive care

* 111 active cases in Victoria, including hotel quarantine cases and infections from the fifth lockdown cluster

VACCINATIONS

* 2366 first doses of AstraZeneca administered on Monday at state-run hubs after it was opened to all Victorian adults

* 1252 vaccinated at Al-Taqwa College pop up clinic

* 22,670 vaccines administered on Monday at state-run hubs

* More than 300,000 appointments for vaccines booked at state hubs for the next month

EXPOSURE SITES

* More than 240 including multiple shopping centres

* More than 12,000 primary close contacts
