Belkin has announced a new range of smart cables for iPhone users.
The ‘BOOST CHARGE’ Smart Cable adds the ability to see the charging status of your phone at a glance.
The cable works by communicating with the iPhone battery while it’s charging and displaying an amber light when charging that turns green as soon as the iPhone battery is fully charged.
Head of Product Management at Belkin Australia and New Zealand, Jamie Laing-Reece said that the release of the new charging cables builds on Belkin’s high quality and well designed innovations.
“By adding the convenience of indicative lighting to an MFi-certified, highly durable cable that can be matched with a PD-enabled charger for fast charging, we continue to innovate in the cables category to add further convenience to the lives of our consumers,” Laing-Reece told 7NEWS Tech.
The cables are made using aircraft-grade aluminium overmold and a double braided nylon exterior for durability.
Three colours are available including black, silver and grey starting from $39.95 for the BOOST CHARGE Smart USB-A Cable with Lightning Connector and $44.95 for the BOOST CHARGE Smart USB-C Cable with Lightning Connector.
You can check out the range from Belkin or through major retailers.
