A driver’s recycling efforts have caught the attention of the police.

The overloaded backseat of the Toyota Corolla was hard to miss as it made its way through Waubaushene, a small town in Ontario, Canada, last week.

Hundreds of empty cans were piled onto the backseat – reaching from window to window and up to the roof.

Police snapped a picture of the vehicle after pulling it over.

The driver was charged with insecure load and driving while under suspicion.

“Recycling is good, but driving with an insecure load is dangerous,” police said in a post of Twitter.

“Load was secured prior to departure.”

Police urged other drivers to stay safe and secure their load before getting on the road.

“Wow, the smell from all those empties should have been enough for them to blow over 0.08. What the heck is wrong with people … geesh!” one person wrote.

“The stench!” wrote another.

“That was some party!” wrote another.
