An ESPN panellist in Colombia remarkably escaped injury when a piece of the set collapsed on him.

The ordeal took place when the panel was discussing a football match on Tuesday.

On the far left of the panel, Carlos Orduz could be seen shuffling papers before the wall behind him fell.

He appeared to slam into the desk under its weight, with the camera quickly cutting away to the anchor’s shocked face.

The anchor then threw to a break.

After the show, Orduz tweeted a video of himself addressing viewers, saying he was OK.

“To those who wrote to me and greeted me about the accident last night, I must tell you that I am fine,” he also wrote.

“Thank God, after the medical check-up, the respective examinations, any issue was ruled out, only a bruise and a blow to the nose (no fracture).”
