When Jody Bradley-Meerwald moved his 93-year-old mother, Doris, into CraigCare at Ascot Waters in October last year, he was assured she’d be well looked after and her medical needs met.

But in the lead up to her death on June 25, Doris complained about her treatment.

She left notes saying she wasn’t getting her medication, or pain relief or help from staff.

She also called an elder abuse helpline.

Recent audits of CraigCare by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission found areas of non compliance in regards to clinical care and have been sanctioned.
