A physiotherapy student from Hong Kong, Joshua Wan has just been awarded NSW International Student of the Year in recognition of his incredible volunteer work, which ranges from connecting with aged care residents to helping his peers overcome mental-health struggles.

Through drawing, Joshua has also documented the life stories of the aged-care residents he spent the year living with.

This inspired the Granny Tell initiative, which provides a platform to connect younger generations with older people through art and storytelling.
