If you’ve got elderly parents, or you’re elderly yourself, would you feel more reassured or safer if you knew that a camera or a WiFi device of some kind was watching?

The argument is that CCTV or new technology would improve safety and mean the elderly can live in their own homes for longer. So is surveillance the price of independence?
