It’s brought joy to our screens on ABC TV, and now in an Australian first, the health benefits of mixing older and young people together will be measured in the community.

The Intergenerational Integration Initiative will see older adults and young children engage in a structured series of investigative, artistic and educational activities together.

Scientists began the pilot trial this week.
