When Melbourne was forced into lockdown last year, author Frances Prince decided to start a daily reading ritual with her dad, a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor.

She knew this would be a good way to keep him occupied.

She didn’t know this time would allow Frances and her dad to connect through conversation in a way they never had before and never would again.

Frances has written about this experience in a new book called Gift of Time: Discoveries from the daily ritual of reading with my father.
